Startup Nation, Meet:
Diane Webb, LMHC
Mike Michalowicz.png

Diane Webb is a licensed mental health counselor and personal development coach. Diane is owner/operator of Edwards Mental Health, a group private practice located in Clifton Park, NY.

In addition to her practice, she coaches other therapists on reducing the negative impact of imposter syndrome of their career trajectories and marketing.

Show Notes:
  1. What the problem is (trying to be everything to everybody).

  2. Why this is problematic (it negatively impacts you practice, your success and your marketing efforts when you are not marketing to your unique strengths, interests and passions).

  3. Imposter syndrome gets in the way of specific marketing to your strengths- it prevents you from even seeing your strengths! To help you be the clinician you are and not want you think you should be, work to overcome imposter syndrome.

  4. Keep creating and looking at who you are, who you want to serve, and what you are passionate about to create your unique 'clinical identity.'

If you’re in private practice, you wear a lot of hats. And some of those hats are totally great. But some — like filing taxes and running payroll, for example — not so great. That’s where Gusto comes in. Gusto makes payroll, taxes, and HR actually easy for small businesses. Fast, simple payroll processing, benefits, and expert HR support all in one place. Gusto automatically pays and files your federal, state, and local taxes so you don’t have to worry about it. Plus they make it easy to add on health benefits and even 401(k)s for your team. So let them wear one of your many hats — you have better things to do. Listeners get three months free when they run their first payroll. Try a demo and see for yourself at gusto.com/pps.
