Meet Erika Garrett, Registered Marriage & Family Therapist Intern. Erika received her master’s degree in Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in 2015 and previously her bachelors in Psychology with a concentration in Mental Health from Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) in 2009.

 

Currently, Erika is employed at an organization providing individual and family therapy to children and adults within a wide-range of presenting issues. Additionally, she is excited to launch her private practice, Alcove Therapy, LLC in 2016 in hopes of fulfilling her passion in working with individuals, families, and couples to explore their circumstance, envision new possibilities, and embrace growth.


Erika is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and student affiliate member of the Collaborative Family Law Professionals of South Florida. In addition, she is an active volunteer for the Broward Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (BAMFT). Erika enjoys working in the community and dedicating time to the enhancement and unity of professionals within the field of mental health.


Erika loves networking and thoroughly enjoys building strong, fulfilling relationships both personally and professionally. She thrives when nurturing her personal and professional development. Erika believes as human beings we never stop growing and developing.
