“I believe in human beings, and that all human beings should be respected as such, regardless of their color”― Malcolm X
We are deeply saddened for what is and continues to go on in the world especially as related to the BIPOC community, the continued systemic racism, and injustices black people face.
We have been in conversations about our role as leaders in the therapist community.
We clearly have not done enough to address systemic racism in the past. We are acknowledging that, are aware of it, and taking responsibility and action to change that as antiracism in not a thing or concept. It is a VERB!
We are committing to making a difference with you collectively as a community, white people and white therapists, the BIPOC community and to all we collectively serve because WE KNOW therapists are HUGE change agents in transforming the world.
We're including anti-racism resources below so that therapists can do their own work and become educated allies for the BIPOC community.
